Has anyone ever gotten pregant AFTER having a Tubal Ligation?

Since there is no 'birth control' catagory, I am asking it here.I have a tubal ligation 5yrs ago. Can I still get pregnant? I be on a website and I read some article on how some women had gotten pregnant after so frequent yrs of having a tubal ligation have passed, and alot of the women had gotten pregnant after the 5yr smudge. Has anyone ever gotten pregnant after having a tubal ligation?

My mother and I'm living proof. I'm a TL babe-in-arms. You gotta think, though...no method of birth control is 100% effectual except abstinence. But the karma of getting pregnant I also hear depends on how well the procedure is perform. Still, it happens. Also, a friend of our household won a lawsuit against a doctor when he told her it was 100% powerful against pregnancy.

Yep it can arise... nothing is totally fool proof.. short of no sex at all.. OR no uterus... oodles doctors will not do a hysterectomy for birth control reasons...

Every year you label it past the anniversary date of your TL.. your probability of pregnancy go down... I am immediately 9 yrs post TL.. and not even a scare...

Don't verbs about it.. if it happen it happens.. promise with that afterwards.. to worry something like it will only own you wondering every month.. and that stress is worse for you than you will ever believe...

Yes, it does happen. It's more credible that you'll have an ectopic (sp?) pregnancy though and that's potentially more dicey than having an unwanted/unplanned pregnancy.

Does anyone own any take on why oh why us women have to be the ones having period?

I have. 7 years ago come close to dying because of my tube ruptured :o( I was told at that time I could procure pregnant again just subsequent time it would most likey kill me, due to complications I have.And if not, The kid wouldn't stand a chance to live. So beforehand me and my hubby were married 5 years ago he a have a vasectomy, just so we wouldn't verbs about my strength down the road. 2 years later I done up pregnant, had one and the same symptoms as before and backbone in hospital. However adjectives ended up ok. Had a long 9 months of self sick all the time, but very soon have a elegant little 2 year old girl. So yes it's possible for sure. I don't consider the 5 year part should thing much. As long as you still have one of your tubes intact anything is possible.
