Some women have experienced numbness and oversensitivity contained by the nipple area or in the neighbourhood the incisions. While these symptoms usually disappear in time, unfortunately, surrounded by some patients, they may be permanent. There is a greater risk of loss of sensation surrounded by the nipple area if the push in is inserted through an incision along the edge of the areola, the colored nouns around the nipple (periareolar incision). Some studies have shown that the transaxillary incision (in the armpit), similar to the periareolar incision, can also cause a loss of nipple sensation after surgery.
