A UTI is a urinary tract infection, its in the urethra or bladder. Bacterial vaginosis is actually within the vagina.
They usually diagnose a UTI with a verbs catch urine token which if done correctly should not get anything except urine since it involves cleaning the nouns around it first. If it is not done correctly it may be contaminated by bacteria from around the labia.
BV is usually diagnosed beside a visual exam and swabs of fluid from inside the vagina.
