Yes, constipation can breed you miserable. These guidelines should help:
1. drink plenty of fluids, remarkably water
2. increase your fiber
3. exercise
4. drink prune juice
5. you can use glycerine suppositories
6. limit or avoid low/no fiber foods

For fiber:
undamaged grain bread or cereal
bran cereals
beans
fresh fruit
vegies: asparagus, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots

No/low fiber foods to limit/avoid:
rime cream
processed foods
meat
cheese

Do not get into a laxative obsession! Glycerine suppositories are not habit forming...they will only soften your stool making it miss easier.

If all else fail, request further medical testing of your constipation to be sure you don't enjoy an undiagnosed medical issue. However, most of the time, constipation is remedied by a change within diet and an increase in fluid intake.
