When you first get your period does the flow keep going for 4-5 days or is there a pause of a day or so?

I saw a blood stain yesterday at around 6pm and put on a pad but at hand's no blood stain today and it's about 5:30pm. Is this conventional?

That's normal it's a word sign that you're going to get a full extent soon. Mine does that. It is extremely normal for the flow to translate over the course of your period. My typical period is 2 bulky days, then enormously light to zilch, then another year or 2 of lighter flow. There is a lot of flux. Just be prepared, when it stops, for more blood to come out--keep your pad on until you are sure it's finished!
