You don't mention your age but it is not unusual to skip periods when within your teens or twenties. Periods can be affected by so oodles things:
weight
stress
excessive exercise
illness
lack of ovulation
Masturbation have no effect so don't worry roughly that. Chances are, since you are not sexually active, you are simply not ovulating. If you have be having your interval for more than a year, I would see a gynecologist because not ovulating can cause fertility issues. However, if it has not be a year, most gynecologists will tell you to see if your cycles regulate after a year. However, if you are really worried roughly it, please do not hesistate to see a gynecologist.
