Answers:
Most women near PCOS (myself included) have tremendously irregular periods if they are not on medication to basis them to be regular. However, some do have regular period. Hormonal birth control and metformin (Glucophage) can both help PCOS patients hold normal cycles; the best treatment for a specific patient depends on factor such as whether she is insulin resistant, whether she is able to (or desires to) take hormonal birth control, and whether she is trying to conceive.
