I can report to you that if it's paraffin wax, it's not very thriving. Paraffin has cancer cause toxins in them. If it is a candle made out of soy/veg beeswax, it's pretty much harmless except for the perfume. I would still inform her it's not a very smart entity to do. It doesn't just exceed like a penny or anything else for that issue. If it's melted when she swallows it, it's drying up on the opening down and sticking to what it dries to.
