Can you explain why I couldn't breastfeed?

I had my son and the nurse came into help me breastfeed him for the first time, she toke a look at my breasts and said that it might be strong and I will be in alot of pain. Why is this?
Answers:
You need to procure a Doctor or a midwife to clarify why this is the case. Many women who have flat or inverted nipples can breast feed beside help and encouragement from a lactation consultant.
Do you wear a bra when you sleep at night?

Because your breasts might be inverted and pushed inward.
It make it harder to breast feed.
The compression and support of a bra is fine during the day, but if you wear it at night while sleeping, over and over, it can create problems.
Some people simply cannot breastfeed. My wife breastfed our daughter and the first week be a complete nightmare. It was painful for her and my daughter was not getting the nutrients to start next to so everyone was crying. Complete nightmare and couldn't get straight answer from anyone. Best thing to do is stick with. My wife did and eventually everything sorted out and everyone was happy.

Just progress for it and hopefully everything will be fine. But don't feel bad if you can't as there are like mad of people who can't through no fault of their own.
You should enjoy asked her right then what she meant by that. Breastfeeding is often scratchy for the first few weeks as your nipples get used to it. You should talk to a certified lactation consultant or get surrounded by contact with a local La Leche League around your area.
Are you a first time mom? At first it's easier said than done to do breastfeeding but if you are lactating somehow it will be easy. If you already tried everything maybe b'coz you lack nutrients or possibly stressed out or your breast are inverted. There's nothing hard in trying . . .
