No-one (except a few delude transvestites) WANTS to 'have a sex change'; for transsexual people, it's a clinical necessity. Once this treatment is complete, a transsexual person of any gender is permanently sterile; which leaves us beside an agonising choice; if we have treatment for the congenital condition that is ruining our lives, and kill many of us, we forgo any possibility of having children of our own, unless we can hold them before treatment is complete. Wanting a child is a normal, human quirk; we have the same desires surrounded by that regard as anyone else, so many of us do simply that; transwomen father children, and transmen bear children, before HRT and surgery robs us of the qualifications.
