Why would they check kidneys for an ovarian cyst ultrasound??
i also have to go for a colposcopy, biopsy of uterus and cervic and some scrap...does this hurt at all?
Answers: Relax! Sometimes they look at the kidneys just to produce sure their are no cysts on them or other complications from the ovarian cyst that ruptured, this is normal. Your colposcopy may cause you some cramping and discomfort if they certainly have to take a biopsy. This feel like a quick pinch or bee-sting. The "scraping" that they do take cells from the inside of the cervix to see if their are abnormalities as very well. You should have been instructed to nick some Ibuprofen about an hour prior to the procedure and for the next 2/3 days after the procedure. Try to relax during the procedure as it will help out the doctor see what he/she needs to see. It takes longer to set everything up and to carry you cervix into view, than the actually biopsy and scrap. That only takes a few second. Make sure you follow the directions that are given to you after the procedure. This is a very common procedure to hold done. Try not to worry, it does not mean you own cervical cancer or anything like that. Make sure you do have this done! This will hand over them the exact diagnosis of what is going on with your pap smear, that way if something is going on, they can shut in it early. If left untreated, it could front to cervical cancer. Make sure that you always go subsidise for your re-paps when you are supposed to!

Sometimes the technicians check the kidneys because if they are inflammed this is often a sign of infection. It is probably nothing to verbs about. It is usually quite routine.
