Where is the hymen??
Answers: The hymen is the tinny membrane that sometimes covers the opening to the vagina if you're a virgin. I say "sometimes" because, even if you haven't have sex, the hymen can do a bit of a disappearing act due to an overzealous workout at the gym, horseback riding, tampons, and even passionate "cloying petting" with your boyfriend. (It's not an impenetrable barrier, anyway, as it have holes to allow menstrual blood to escape.)
.
It's just a thin division that doesn't completely cover the opening. There's room for a finger or a tampon to fit inside without in actuality breaking the hymen...that's why it's usually sex that does it. However, intense physical activity, horseriding, and wear and tear can also shred the hymen, so you don't have to have have sex for yours to be torn.
