I'm doing this paper for school nearly sexual intercourse and when doing a survey i found out that some women women still bleed eventhough they aren't virgins... Is it normal to bleed even when not a virgin? after having sex and there's blood surrounded by the bed and then theres a little blood within the panties... is it normal? and why does it happen?

However, in some cases, vaginal bleeding after sex can be a sign of a serious underlying problem, including:

* Sexually transmitted diseases, such as chlamydia or gonorrhea.
* Cervical polyps.
* Cervical ectropion, a condition contained by which the cervical tissue is more susceptible to abrasion.
* Endometriosis or ovarian cysts.
* Pelvic inflammatory disease.
* Uterine fibroids.
* Cancer of the cervix, uterus or vagina.

If one experience bleeding during or after sex, I would recommend that they consult with their doctor/gynaecologist to see what they think could be cause this.
