What is an Internal Examination?

I have had Vaginal Spotting for just about 3/4 weeks now of a pinkish colour and my Dr made me do a pregnancy test but it come back negative. Now I enjoy to go for an internal examination and don't really know what it involves and what they are usually looking for when doing these internal. Any Answers are welcome as I am affraid as my GP didn't explain why they are doing these tests.

Answers:    Probably a pap smear, I don`t know a intravaginal ultrasound (an ultrasound where the wand goes surrounded by your vagina for a better read on your uterus - uncomfortable for a bit, but not bad at all).

If you really want to know, bid your doctor's office back, speak to the nurse and ask. Never be afraid to ask what a doctor is conducting tests for - they should always tell you but sometimes they don't guess about it.

Good luck, sweetie.
