Alright, I am 17 and I have inserted a tampon once before,a few years ago, and it be so painful I had to clutch it out immediately. I was unforgivable pain for a week. I am a virgin and my opening is is roughly speaking the size of the top of a small head pin. My mother insists that is big plenty, and because I have regular periods I should be fine. However, every couple of months I try when I seem to be relaxed and can't do it because of the unbearable pain (I use the smallest size possible and something approaching ultra slims, the pain lasts just about 24 hours). My doctor (not Gyno) suggested relaxing not tensing (which I make sure I do every time I try but eventually extreme pain get in my way) and lube, but don't have any contained by the house, and I don't particularly want to go to the drug store near and buy it, when my friends seem to work anywhere I can get it. Can I use anything else? Is near some other possible reason I can't get a tampon within?

it hurt me too the first couple times. i was using a cardboard applicator, and afterwards my mom bought me plastic applicator tampons and the pain and discomfort went away. so I don`t know that will work for you to. Try this web site ... seems tremendously informative... i hope it helps

some ppl just cant use them progress to beinggirl.com it helps alot! ok first relax, im 12 and i just tried a tampon and after a few tries (like 10 or something lol) i figure it out. First use toilet paper/wipe to clear any excess blood away from the vaginal area, and put one foot on the side of the tub. RELAX! if you dont, the muscles will tense and it will be impossible to obtain the tampon in. ok, once you have completely relaxed, find the hole beside your finger, then put the tip of the plastic (cardboard works but its a ton harder) in the space of the hole. push in a little bit, after aim towards your lower back and gently push the tampon contained by. if you have any more trouble, try looking at www.beinggirl.com
