Period after Implanon?

Had Implanon(s) for 4 years and had the most recent one removed in June. I never have any periods whilst the implant be in place however now they enjoy returned they are hellish. I have now be bleeding heavily for 3 weeks. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any point in going to see my GP?

Thanks

Answers:    When I have my implant removed, my period go back to normal so cant backing you there.

However, I really think you should turn to the doctor. Good luck :).
You should absolutely go see your GP asap. In Sweden the guidance is to go see your GP or OBGYN if you bleed for a longer period that 14 days.

I use Implanon as a contraceptive and for the first two years I have no period but then I started have them even though I still had the Implanon. They removed it and put in a unknown one but I still have periods. I enjoy friends who have removes their Implanon but no one have had much bleeding after so please go see a doctor..
Implants are another form of hormones... immediately that you are off of them your own body has taken over. It will thieve several weeks if not months to regain statis quo
