My wife lately started her birth control nearly a week ago and we be in recent times wondering how long till it take effe
Answers: When starting birth control pills, it will usually take 7-14 days for the pill to become effective at preventing pregnancy. You will have need of to use a backup/second method of contraception during these 7-14 days (such as condoms). Keep in mind that birth control pills offer no protection from acquire STI's/STD’s.
Be aware that your wife's first and last active pills are the most historic pills in the pack. Being late starting the subsequent pack or forgetting the last active pill will make longer the time off the active pills. Lengthening this pill-free interval can allow your wife's body to ovulate.
If you own any concerns or further questions, I recommend your wife discuss them with her doctor to see what he/she say.
Good luck :).
Hormonal birth control is effective either straight away or after seven days, depending on when in your cycle you start taking it. If you start taking the pill within the first five days of your cycle, you are protected IMMEDIATELY. If you start at any other point within your cycle, you are protected after seven days of active pills. According to Planned Parenthood:
"If you start the combination pill within five days after the start of your term, take the first active pill of the first pack. You will not involve to use a back up method of birth control. You are protected against pregnancy immediately.
If you start the combination pill at any other time during your menstrual cycle, cart the first active pill of the first pack. Use another method of birth control if you have vaginal intercourse during the first week of combination pill use — protection will commence after seven days.".
The pills are reasonably effective right away.
Some physicians recommend that women use a back-up method of contraception (such as condoms) during the first month of BCP use. This is base on the observation that BCPs probably do not achieve their 99.9 percent value until after the first month of use.
It is also true that the BCPs are pretty effective, even starting with the first BCP. Many BCP manufacturer suggest that the BCP is effective after 7 days of continuous use. Even before 7 days of BCPs hold been taken, considering that phase of the menstrual cycle, pregnancy is not very credible. For these reasons, the BCPs are probably about as impressive as using a diaphragm as soon as they are started. For women seeking a higher level of protection against pregnancy, using a backup method of contraception during the first month of BCP use may be considered

I hear you should wait a whole three month for her body to get hold of use to it, then that will be the best protection.
However, a lot of doctors recommend a month, and some even as little as a week. It depends just about the type you're on, the best way to know would be to call her doctor and find out..
you should skulk 28-30 days depending on how many days are in her birth control cycle..surrounded by other words...one whole month of pills
then it will start to steal effect..
if you have unprotected sex before next, her risk of getting pregnant will be increased...
A month if she's taking a pill, but if she taking depo she's protected immediately if she had it taken the first 4 days of her cycle but if it be after the first 4 days she should wait a week Its usually about a month or 3 months but it in recent times depens on the type she is taking :).
What type is she on? I'm on yaz and I have to wait a month.
