my menstrual cycle used to be very consistent until a few months ago, then it come after three weeks, then a couple of days less, and my most modern period started 18 days after the last. it is extremely heavy this month also. at first i thought it was down to stress but very soon im doubting whether it is as simple as that. i read that it could be a hormone disorder, if it was, what would be the symptoms for that? ive been to the GP but unless it is extremely serious they arent of much assist. thanks

Are you on birth control? Some pills have be known to do that. But since you didn't mention it, I'm assuming you're not. I would suggest that you go to a gynecologist...they'll probably be more loyal than your GP.
