most birth control has several side effects. my gyno put me on this b.c. of irregular periods and said it wont effect weight gain or mood swings. but my mom and her friend both experienced them while on a birth control pill. so im afraid if I start it might mess up everything..should i give it a try or not whip a chance?? im already bigger than i want to be

I think that you should discuss these concerns next to your Dr., ask if there is anything else you could take. There is other the option of seeing another Dr if this one does not take your concerns into consideration, or to a moment ago get a second opinion.
