I am considering a hysterectomy for PMDD and menstrual seizures (also PCOS). Still unsure of if I will have ovaries taken or not. I enjoy read various things on the internet about if it will certainly help with any of my problems or possibly make the seizures worse. Can anyone bring up to date me what the chance is that having the hysterectomy will engineer the seizures worse? Does anyone know of any actually research done on this subject? Answers:    I think you will safe to hold a hysterectomy with one ovary removed and keeping the other unless both are non-functional or giving you trouble. Keeping one ovary for the hormones will decrease your hit and miss of seizures and I don't believe they will get worse. Good Luck
