Is something wrong next to me?
Answers: There's nothing wrong with you. It is impeccably normal not to be able to use a tampon a few years after starting your length. I got my period at ten and didn't start using tampons until I be seventeen. I, just like you, be nervous and uncomfortable give or take a few using tampons. But, since I've used them, I will never go back to pad. It takes a lot of practice to be capable of use them and put them in correctly.
1) The first thing you enjoy to do is relax! If you don't relax, then your vaginal muscles will tighten up, making inserting a tampon extremely uncomfortable and sometimes stinging to put in. So relax, and don't think too much just about what you're doing.
2) Use a plastic applicator. They just slide right in, compared to cardboard ones. I use Kotex Security tampons and they are really effortless to put in. However, you may want to start out with Playtex Gentle Glide ones.
3) Position your body correctly. This be the hardest thing and the main justification why I couldn't insert a tampon correctly. Most people say to stand near one leg on the toilet seat and then insert the tampon so that it go toward your lower back. But, I could never do it this way because I feel embarressed. (I don't know why, but I just felt awkward surrounded by that position). The way I put tampons in is to in recent times stand normally; two feet on the ground and stand up straight. Insert the tampon so that applicator is completely inside of you (with your fingers that are inserting it on the rim of the "plunger" quantity.) Once your fingers touch your body, push the plunger all the way up until the rim of the applicator and the plunger bump into. This may feel uncomfortable, so arch your rear legs while pushing the plunger into the applicator. Once they meet, remove the applicator and throw it away. So all you should be not here with is the tampon inserted in you and the string limp out. If you feel the tampon or it hurts to walk, next the tampon is not inserted far enough. So, pull on the string to filch the tampon out, and then use a brand new one, but push it up farther.
4) Practice! You'll probably be exceedingly frustrated if you don't insert one correctly the first time. If your feel frustrated, stop and try again later. If you are frustrated and keep hold of trying and not succeeding, then you will be even more frustrated.
If my directions aren't helpful after you can always use the instructions that always come within a brand new box of tampons. Also, if you are still a virgin, it may be uncomfortable and sometimes tender to insert them. I couldn't wear tampons until after I lost my virginity. But, all of my friends who were virgins could insert them of late fine, so I guess I was just the tightest one out of my friends. lol
I hope I help! And please, don't feel embarressed about wearing pad either. Just make sure to relax and I'm sure you'll be capable of insert a tampon just fine! I hope I helped and devout luck! I'm sure you can do it! :).
I think you should try to use a small tampon and it helps to place one leg on the toilet form or the tub and have the other on the floor. This helps to relieve the aching while inserting the tampon. Use a small one. :) If it helps, you can put a mirror in between your legs to check if you've inserted it within right. :D.
there's nothing wrong with you!
i'm 18 years dated and i just learned how to use a tampon a few days ago!
try using a smaller size. the big ones are basically.. intimidating!.
Try a smaller one for comfort, like OB. Put one foot on the toilet to be able to insert deeper. I said if you believe there is a medical reason afterwards you should see a doctor...
