I can't stop bleeding...?

After having my third baby within January, I decided to try a new method of birth control. My husband and I thought the Mirena would work best for us. I have it put in back within March, with the understanding that I'd own some abnomal bleeding. Now I won't stop bleeding it's been close to six weeks. I have a doctors appt but not for another two weeks. I asked my doctor's nurse but she said she couldn't detail anything over the phone. I would have wait for the exam to know. Is constant bleeding a side affect?

If the bleeding is heavy in which you are shifting one or more pads or tampons in an hour or smaller quantity, this is considered excessive bleeding and needs to be seen by a doctor urgently, as this can lead to anemia. It is possible that you could already be anemic. Quite possibly you have a hormonal inequity occurring. In this case a doctor would check your levels via blood oral exam, and give you something to stop the bleeding. I would not wait to see a regular doctor, if it is excessive and if you are have symptoms such as fatigue and dizziness.

It can be with some birth control pills. The doctor will examine you and change the type of pills you are taking. It sounds similar to the pills are just too strong for you. Be sure that during this time you are adding some iron rich foods because the excessive bleeding can bring anemia.
