How long will i be out from work after a hysterectomy

Answers:    Usually the recovery time depends on your body's healing time, how healthy you are at the time of surgery, etc. My friend had a complete done and was off of work for 8 weeks, but her muscles were weak as she just had her third child a year ago and she was not very active, then again I have known someone who was only off for 6 weeks (I think most docs won't release you to go back because of liability reasons, and most employers stick to it). Good luck!.
2 months Depends on the type. I know women that have had the laproscopic removal (where they remove it from your vagina) and they were out for 6 weeks and there were other women who had the same type and were out for only 3. If you have to have the actual open surgery, then I would think 6 to 8 weeks would be standard. Your surgeon should let you know how long he/she wants you to be out for.

Good luck, hon!
