I've had a Mirena IUD since September, and I still feel crampy just about 80% of the time. It has nothing to do near my period (had it two weeks ago) and I'm pretty regular (it's finally starting to get lighter and shorter), but I still hold cramps a lot of the time and I'm tired of feeling resembling crap all the time. I also know that the strings are still there and don't appear messed up at all. Should I call the doctor and enjoy them take a look?

I have have very good luck next to IUD. I also had cramping but it tapered sour a little every month. I think you should see your doctor I don`t know your body is having a reaction to the hormones.
Look into hormone free IUD they are practical fool proof.
