How affective are birth control patchs?
Answers: I believe they are consider to have the same stratum of protection, but the patch has had abundantly of controversy around it, and rather or not it is safe to use.

I can not speak for everyone else but I be on the ortho evra patch for three years and never got pregnant. I believe they are just as influential as any other form of hormonal bc as long as they are used properly. They are convenient because if you forget to take pills like I do it is simply a one time committment each week to the pill. I have tried it on adjectives the approved areas of the body and each time it worked out great. Now the warning I own is that the patch can not be regulated like the pill. With bc pills you can find ones that have smaller number or more hormones as needed, but with the patch it provides the same height of hormones for each person no issue size or shape. My problem was that I was getting too heaps hormones after continued use and I started having vision problems, serious migraines, severe cramping and clotting. There is even a current lawsuit out on the product for any woman that have used the patch and developed a blood clotting disorder or loved ones that have lost someone due to its use. I think bc is significant but after continued use of any drug you are going to have problems. I decided two years ago that I be no longer using any form of hormonal bc because my body can not take the side effects. Just be cautious and listen to your body whenever you are using any form of bc, whether patch or pill.Patches are really desperate for you, especially if you smoke. I was on the patch for about 2 years. when i found out that alot of women we dying from blood clots, even if they didn't smoke. That is when I made the edict to go off the patch and freshly use the pill. Of course the patch was very convient, but I don't want to walk off my family by a "clot"!! Good luck to you!!
They are just as influential as pills. I used them for about 2 years. As for them coming off, it depends on you. Some places I put them on they would come stale very easily. After a few weeks I figure out the best places to put them, then it was close to hell trying to get it off. LOL!

Every single individual I have known that have been on the patch has gotten pregnant. They enjoy trouble getting them to stay on and don't look too nice after a few showers. They end up looking like a strip aid that needs to be pulled off. Gross...Period give support to. ( added info)?
