I work as a neonatal/paed ICU RN and we give metronidazole IV to sick babies therefore I doubt it would incentive any problems with you BF. I would assume that some of the gel might be absorbed and passed on but this would be absoluletly minimal.

If it be me I would carry on BF and not be concerned.
