*Friend's Question* Shaving

Hi,

My friend is 14. She is disabled, she wears braces that go up to for a time below the knee, she doesn't wear shorts or skirts because her braces stand out(no neutral designs or anything because she doesn't enjoy that option), her school wants her to swim, but she's arguing against it due to time constraints, if she be to swim, it would be once a week, should she shave her legs, she doesn't shave because she doesn't like people seeing her legs within general.

Answers:    I'm disabled and it HURTS to shave the right side of my right leg so I have told the world to 'stuff it' and IF I own a good enough foundation to have hair free legs, I will use some Nair Cream and a sponge on a stick to apply it and to remove the fuzz.

Shaving is ALWAYS OPTIONAL... no matter what our culture tells us... Not everywhere surrounded by the world is it "Normal" to be totally hair free from your eyebrows down...

She needs to do anything the hell she WANTS to do... Nothing more, nothing less... and if anyone have a problem with that she needs to notify them where they can stick that problem...

Disabled or not... NO WOMAN should feel similar to she is REQUIRED to do anything she doesn't want to do!

Shave legs?
Shave vagina?
Shave armpit hair?
Wax upper lip?

NONE OF IT MATTERS!

If you like what you enjoy then SCREW WHAT SOCIETY SAYS YOU SHOULD HAVE!

Just because what SHE does doesn't go along next to what she is TOLD SHE SHOULD DO it doesn't make her 'bad' or 'ugly' or anythng!

She is perfect exactly how she requests to be and it is up to no one but her if she wants to shave or not.

If she doesn't want to swim, she shouldn't be FORCED to any... Though as a disabled person with lower body issues, swimming is the PERFECT mode to do non-weightbearing exercises and keep her WHOLE body in shape.

I ENCOURAGE her to swim because it is basically so wonderful an exercise but if she doesn't WANT to then screw it... It is her body, her life, and if she doesn't want to later they can chuck her in so then she can sue!

Find out if she can do it final period instead so it doesn't cut in to her lunch time... If not, consequently they can shove the pool right where they can shove their issues about body quill... Right up their a r s e..
I don't think she should be forced to swim, and I don't think the university can force her to do it either. If she is completely against it, try asking if she could participate within something else and see if that would be acceptable. Most schools are likely to work with students if the students are trying to be flexible.
If they are rigid and will not budge on the fact that she have to swim, I would say just shave and take home it little easier on yourself. You only have to do it once a week anyways.
Hope I help a bit. .
If she does choose to swim and it's not too much trouble, I would recommend shaving. It can help. I know must swimmers do, so it must be for good use. But then again, if it's only once a week, why shift through the trouble. Maybe if she really ends up liking it and does is more frequently, shave. well it doesnt bring in you that much faster, but i guess if the hair on her legs are very noticable after she should if shes having concerns about it, but you shouldnt be forced to do any charitable of swimming if she doesnt want to..
its really her preference i know if it were me i would shave my legs because i would want to avoid any unnecessary mockery but if she really doesn't want to shave them then she shouldn't but she should expect some people to construct fun of her. if the team wants her to swim consequently they should have no reason to complain in the order of hairy legs! And if she doesn't want to shave she doesn't have to..
Whatever make her comfortable. Who cares about leg hair? I think people would read between the lines given the situation not to make jokes.

If her pelt is light and you can barely mind then leave it!.
If she is 14 and never shaved after her leg hairs should not be too noticeable. And also you are going to be beneath water and no one can without fault see through water. If she doesn't want to shave for whatever drive, then she shouldn't.

Simple as that..
well she doesnt enjoy too shave if she doesnt want to and she should swim if she doesnt want to She doesn't need to shave, but she shouldn't be forced to swim either..
she should do anything makes her comfortable I say don't bother. I haven't shaved however, I'm 13, and my legs aren't THAT bad, I doubt hers are that much worse..
