Free/low cost mammogram?

Does anyone know how/where I could get a free or low cost mammogram? By the way, I am contained by Dallas/Ft. Worth. Thanks!

Sucking nouns?

I work in a free standing imaging facility in Northern California. We charge $250 for the screening mammogram, radiologist reading and CAD (computer-aided detection) reading. The hospital, located within the same town, charges almost double what we do. My best advice would be to ring around to different facilities in your nouns, and get price quotes. You can look in your ashen pages, under "x-ray" or "physician - radiology". If you appointment a hospital facility, make sure you are quoted for both fees..most hospitals have a professional excise (for the radiologist's reading) and a technical fee (for the cost of performing the actual mammogram). Prices can rise and fall greatly, not only from state to state, but from facility to facility. We also offer a 15% discount to uninsured women who pay envelope in full at time of service. You can ask if the imaging center will make a costs plan for you, so that you can make monthly payments, instead of coming up with adjectives of the money up front.

If you don't have insurance, here are some resources:

"To locate a FDA certified, accredited mammography facility within your area, call the National Cancer Institute at 1-8OO-4-CANCER. If you do not enjoy health insurance, you have a few options:

****Call your local chapter of the American Cancer Society (number in your phone book) or the national toll-free number, 1-8OO-ACS-2345. The ACS will be capable of tell you about any low-cost or free mammography programs offering screening to women incompetent to pay for it themselves.
****Call your State Department of Health (number in your phone book). Every state immediately has a Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program funded by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This program offers screening to qualify women unable to pay for it themselves.
****Call the YWCA's ENCOREplus Program for access to low-cost or free mammograms. To find which YWCA services offer this service and if you are eligible, call 1-8OO-95EPLUS or your local YWCA.
****Call the National Cancer Institute at 1-8OO-4-CANCER for the name of FDA-certified, accredited mammography facilities within your area. If you explain your financial situation, some mammography facilities are inclined to work out a lower fee or payment agenda that will make the test more affordable. Ask the facility if they are feeling like to discuss these options with you.
