i wanted to apply for an apartment, and the lady told me that i couldnt get hold of my mom to co-sign for me because she would not be living with me, then she told me that i still cant return with the apartment because i would be a full time student at a college. so does anyone know if it would be possible for me to get an apartment in north carolina in need having any credit since she says my mom cant co-sign for me? please oblige thanks

In my experience, it's better to rent from an individual than a property command company. So, rent out an apartment in a house that someone owns, or rent a condo that is owned by a entity. Usually the companies require a lot more of you. When my husband (then fiance) were looking for an apartment to move into after we get married, the places with a property management company have a lot more requirements. We ended up renting a condo from a nice woman who didn't even run a credit check or ask us how much money we made.

Also, check near your college to see if they have any agreements with apartment buildings contained by the area.
