Can a doctors pregnancy be wrong? Ever?

I was in the doctor's organization for abdominal pain on Aug. 7th and they tested me and it was cynical. I had to get a ct scan that daylight and then an ultrasound that day as very well and it turned out I have a rather big ovarian cyst. I have another appt. on the 21st to see if I need to get hold of it removed. Well I am now a tad over a week late. What are the chance I am pregnant? Could the cyst be throwing my period off? I don't own period symptoms. Should I retest or wait until I shift to the OBGYN on thursday?

I know, I know if I really want to know take another test but what are the likelihood that this cyst threw off my entire cycle or that I might be pregnant?

Answers:    an ultrasound won't show anything tip between 5 and 6 weeks, so that's 1 to 2 weeks after a missed period. It's also. Best to testing for pregnancy a week after missed period as there are different types of hcg such as hhcg which is produced during impulsive pregnancy but not tested for on most tests. I'm not sure whether a cyst can delay a time but I would certainly say it's too precipitate to rule out pregnancy. .
If you had a blood test, ct scan and ultrasound, the likelihood of the doctor being wrong are miniscule. That's three tests indicating like peas in a pod thing.

Today's Tuesday. Unless you're in cramp, which you're not, I'd wait. You've already gotten a diagnosis, nothing is life-threatening, and you're going to see the doctor contained by two days.

Besides... you can always call the doctor beside your questions.
