Birth control, how to prevent pregnancy?
1) Are birth control pills sold over the counter?
2) Which birth control pill to chose?
3) Do I need to see a doctor previously having sex?
4) Is there anything else I want to know do?
Thanks in advance!
Answers: You own to see a doctor. If you don't have insurance, or don't have a doctor you know or trust, you can dance to Planned Parenthood. Any time you want to go on birth control, you will have to own a pelvic exam first. But don't sweat it, they're usually no big deal.
They will reccommend a type of pill for you. You will either bring a prescription to take to the pharmacy (they are NOT over the counter) or if you go to Planned Parenthood they will furnish you the pills.
You should always go see a doctor until that time having sex, and have regular visit after you start.
And as another responder said, you need to remember that the pill does not protect you from STD's. If you don't know your boyfriend well ... I be set to REALLY WELL, you might want to make him wear a condom, or maybe dawdle ... ? If he loves and respects you, he'll wait for as long as you need.
Post op yelllow around incision site?
Yes, see your doctor past having sex. You will need a prescription for birth control pills. Make sure your doctor know that you want the pills for contraception. (Make sure he does NOT give you Ortho Tricyclen Lo - it has a unbelievably high pregnancy rate). Your doctor will determine which is best for you depending on how regular or irregular your menstrual cycle is & what your symptoms are when you get your length (bloating, etc...)Monophasic pills (the same dose all month long) are more effective for contraception than triphasic pills (lower dose at the commencement of the cycle & gradually increases as you approach the end of the cycle).
If you grasp mood swings &/or lots of bloating during your period, Yasmin may be a good pick. It contains a diuretic, so it makes you pee a lot, but that get rid of the bloating & I have heard virtuous things about it helping with mood swings.
If you don't hold any other problems & simply want something for contraception, i trust that your doctor will choose something that will work for you. Remember that if you don't like the pill or if you get breakthru bleeding that you can other ask to be switched to something different.
And just a rule of thumb, please remember that the pill won't protect you from STDs & it will not be very potent immediately. Make sure you take the pill for at lowest a month before it is "safe", although remember that birth control pills are not perfect & any extra method of contraception is always wise :)
Every woman is different. I muse you should go to the doctor. There are many birth control methods that you can use similar to, birth control pills, injections, things inside you body. So if you go to the doctor he can explain better all the birth control methods and adjectives the consequences of having sex.
1.In order to get hold of birth control pill you must go to an OBGYN, Planned Parenthood, etc...to get an exam and later they will write you a prescription for birth control.
2. Ask your Dr. to recommend what birth control would be best for you.

4. Keep in mind that birth control does not prevent STD's
Birth control pills are by prescription only.
Go to your local Planned Parenthood. They will set you up and give a hand you decide which kind. They can also answer any question. And it will be kept private. Congratulations on being responsible!
