That is an interesting cross-question as there don't appear to be any rigid guidelines. Most doctors would suggest 35 years in a smoker, possibly another year or 2 in a non-smoker. I was qualified in a non-smoker that the mini pill can be used up to age 45 years. Most doctors will allow even more leeway if the lenient is adamant and understands the increasing risks.
