Anyone whos be through Mirena ..ya know birth control article? ?
how is it inserted? have anyone done this ..we've been looking at it but dont know anyone who has done it
Answers: It's inserted through the vagina. If you've never given birth vaginally, consequently it can be difficult to insert, so some docs won't do it. they can give you a drug to dilate your cervix to help insertion. It singular takes a few minutes in a gynecologist's bureau. Hurts a lot, but just for a few minutes, totally worth it.
It costs around $500, which is cheaper than 5 years of birth control pills. Plus the doctor's department visit. Call your local Planned Parenthood, and see what they charge. .
Well I have a copper IUD. Which I love! I don't enjoy to worry about it for 12 years. Its inserted like peas in a pod way as the Mirena. They measure your cervix next to a stick object. I don't know what its called. But consequently they insert the IUD and then pull the inserter out and trim your strings. They put on a antibiotic basically in case you might take an infection from the process. But thats rare. Good Luck. I got mine for free through planned fatherliness. I had the choice of the Mirena but I didn't want the hormone
