My friend have a serious ED?

My friends has be anoreixic for about 3 years presently.i know she is, she never eats and when she does its an INSANE amount - after she has to "run home". Plus she was once an average thriving size. She even lost her baseball scholarship because of this...and presently she is starting to loose her friends.

I want to help, but is nearby anything i can really do? i know she will have to resolve when she wants to shift...but i feel doomed to failure just allowing her to be similar to this, her life is at serious risk. have anyone ever had an intervention for a friend approaching this? or been intervened themselves? is nearby anything i could say or do that would perchance help?

Answers:    Your friend wants professional help. She requirements to see a doctor and/or a counselor who specializes in ingestion disorders. You don't say how antediluvian she is. Talking to her parents would not be out of line if they are available. Or conversation to someone at the student health center if you are contained by college.
(My son was out of town for college and I hadn't notice he had lost closely of weight until his sister and stepmother brought it up. It turned out he have a serious illness.)
There are online support groups and serve lines that may be able to bestow you information about where on earth to go locally. But do do something...even if she doesn't want you to. If she ends up dying, you'll quality worse than if she gets angry at you for interfering.
Being honest, in attendance is not much you can do but offer your support and be near to talk to her. You could try discussion to her about it, but at the cessation of the day it's something she have to come to terms near herself. Professional support such as councelling might help her, but if she doesn't want it afterwards it's her choice.
Just support her and try to understand what's going through her chief, although I know that can be very difficult.
