Most women can expect their level to return to a non-pregnant range more or less 4 - 6 weeks after a pregnancy loss has occur. This can differentiate by how the loss occurred (spontaneous miscarriage, D & C procedure, abortion, inborn delivery) and how high the level were at the time of the loss. Health support providers usually will continue to check hCG levels after a pregnancy loss to ensure they return vertebrae to <5.0
