I am have an endometrial biopsy by "brushing" surrounded by the dr. organization, no anethetics; is this itchy?
Answers: It will totally depend upon how YOU deal beside pain and/or discomfort.
I have it done a few years ago, and it was probably equivalent to a REALLY bleak period cramp, and it solitary lasted for a few second...as long as it took them to take the preview. It wasn't really the biopsy itself, but more the insertion of the instrument through the cervical passage that hurt.
I have the same piece done a few weeks ago and honestly she was done previously I even knew she did it. different women respond differently to EMB. some scarcely feel it, some quality a little, when I have mine I actually feel a horrific cramp but it only last seconds. it is doable, nick some motrin first
Well, it was fairly painful for me, but I don't know more or less the "brushing" part; maybe that's different from what I had. I be given an Ativan (anxiety pill) and a Vicodin (for pain) and it helped; possibly you should ask for something similar. Don't verbs too much! It doesn't take that long to do it and it could enjoy been worse. I manage to live through it, and I hear not all women own as much pain beside it as I did. Best of luck to you.
Incidentally, sometimes they can't get into the cervix, so they own to try more than once. If that happens and you gain past your dull pain threshold because of repeated attempts, you should feel free to notify the doctor to knock it off and you'll come fund another day (unfortunately, one incurs more charges due to have to have the procedure on two occasion, though).
They have a drug call misoprostyl (I think I get that spelled right) that will open up your cervix if you stick the pills "up there" the hours of darkness before (on the stop of a tampon with an applicator so they acquire up there a moment ago right), and when I was given that, the doctor get right in.
