What to expect at the Gyno?

Ive never been and i probably wont budge for a while. What to expect? DOes it hurt? What questions do they ask? To they dispense you shots? (i have a REAL phoibia of needles) (had test to prove it) please answer them!

Answers:    Hi there.

They won't inevitability to give you shots unless you request conducting tests for certain STDs, later they must take your blood.

But for a regular exam no needles, so don't misgivings :O)

It doesn't hurt, it does feel a bit discomfited but it's over so quickly. They will ask you in the order of your cycle and sexual activity. Be honest, it's within your best interest. Make sure you tell the doctor it's your first time and they will explain everything to you and variety sure you are as comfortable as possible.

Once you hit 18 or 19 you should be going to the gyno even if you're not sexually active. And if you are sexually alive prior to that you should be going as soon as you are.
They will walk you through every single little bit of it. It shouldn't be too fruitless. There's what doctors call "pressure" foreboding but it isn't overwhelming. If you are seeing a gyno, it's their specialty so it shouldn't hurt and they are usually quick.

No shots.
I worked for an OB/GYN and it is nil to be scared of. They will ask you question about your home history and your health files. An exam does not hurt, and is over before you know it. You can consent to the doctor know that you are nervous and they will try to minister to you with that. They do not bestow you shots unless you are getting depo-provera birth control or gardasil. Everything that is discussed surrounded by the office is strickly confidential, so don't be panicky to tell the truth or ask any question, because they have see and been asked for than you could think about. So don't be scared!! They do a vaginal exam. The doc will use a speculum to 'open' your vagina so that he/she can do a pap smear, this is the most uncomfy part of a set because you are on a table with your knees out all-embracing, it's more embarrassing than anything. The actual pap is a swab of your cervix and it can be a tiny bit cramp close to, then it's done. Then the doc will remove the speculum and do a almanac vag exam using his/her fingers they will feel your uterus and ovaries to 'look' for anything unusual.

It's really not all that discouraging, don't worry and be paid sure you express all of you concerns to the doc during the initial sit-down collaborate.

Good luck.
