Experience of the contraceptive surround?

My doctor has recommended that I hold a contraceptive implant. I am interested to know how other woman hold found it in expressions of side effects, the procedure and also, can you see or feel it once it is surrounded by?

Answers:    I had implanon implanted surrounded by my upper left arm contained by august last year which will form me infertile until 2010 or until its removed. The only side effect i have apart from the LA being bumpy and not working for me, be a positive one.my periods own stopped altogether.
I can't speak from experience and don't know any women who have have it, but there seem to be to be some good advantages to have the contraceptive implant. See the knit below for more information. Good luck. don't think you would know how to feel it
When I be choosing a bc method, I researched them all. Those who use the IUD can own horrible side effects on a woman's fertility. If perforation, embedding, or pelvic infection occur, the uterus or tubes may become damaged and lower the occasion of pregnancy. In cases of severe damage or infection of the uterus, a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) may be required, resulting contained by permanent sterility. I've see this more than once, so it must happen moderately often. The pill cause a woman to stop releasing eggs. When she quits taking the pill to have a tot, sometimes they can't ovulate. I met a woman who has be waiting for 3 years to have a time of year since she quit the pill. No ovulation, no baby. The pill is still doing it's commission. What I’ve found after research is the diaphragm and the cervical cap. They are close to female condoms, you can't touch or see them and neither can he. You put spermicide on it and this kills any trouble maker trying to get previous the barrier. If you follow directions as to how to use it and do so exactly, it's as effectual as the pill, on the pregnancy part, probably better. The doctor will fit you to get the right size and to show you how to put it within and remove it. It's easier than to remember to take a pill everyday when you’re not going to enjoy sex everyday. You just own to remember it when you’re going to have sex. If you forget it, as expected it doesn’t work at all. If period are an issue regarding sex, it won't be anymore. The diaphragm holds the blood over darkness. It was my favorite bc method. However approaching the pill, it doesn't protect against std's, or the possibility of getting a disease that will kill you.

I've newly had the graft removed after 2 years. In my experience, the procedure for insertion and removal is fine, just take a few minutes. You can't see it when it's in but you can get the impression it under your skin if you try to.

However, I would chew over carefully earlier having it within as side effects seem fairly common. I have pretty much continuous spotting, and after about a year notice a definite unenthusiastic effect on my mood and energy level. Obviously these can happen next to any hormonal contraception, but the problem with the drive in is that once it's in, you own to put up with it for a while - doctors are reluctant to remove formerly about 6 months - so unlike other methods, you can't only stop it if it doesn't suit you.

I know it can work well for some ancestors, but everyone I know who's had it (okay, with the sole purpose 2 other people) has have problems. I'd advise anyone to look at other option first.

There's a lot of discussion going on for it here:
