Period is Back?

I have not have my period for two years. It stopped at the age of 48 and in a minute one month after turning 50, bam, it's back. Is this usual? I was so glad that it stopped. I'm guessing a drop by to the doc is in direct however just thought I'd go and get a few other opinions. Thanks

Answers:    If you are shifting one or more pads or tampons within an hour or less, this is considered excessive bleeding and wants to be seen by a doctor without delay, as this can lead to anemia. Period abnormality can be due to many things including stress, solidity gain/loss, thyroid, hormonal imbalance, infection, disease, medications, polyp, cyst, amongst other reason. The only style to know for sure exactly what is going on is to see your doctor for an exam and testing. It's possible that a hormonal discrepancy is occurring. In this case your doctor would check your level via blood test, and present you something to stop the bleeding.
