"Cellular changes" contained by pap smear?

I just have a pap smear and my doctor called to give an account me that it noted "cellular changes". He said not to worry, that it is usually due to inflammation but he is have me get a colposcopy lately to make sure nearby isn't something that needs to be monitored.

Has anyone else have this experience? I get paps every twelve months and this is the first I have have this however I have friends who enjoy had like peas in a pod thing and it be nothing.

What is your experience?

Answers:    Yes, this happen to me many years ago. I also have to go and hold a colposcopy done. Nothing was wrong. Sometimes simply the start of infection can cause the pap smear to be past its sell-by date. The pap smear is not 100% accurate. It has it's downfalls. However, this can occur alot of times and alot of times it happens when a character has contacted the papilloma virus. (genital warts) which seem to be pretty common today. So dance and get the colposcopy done and find your mind relieved. Most likely it will zilch but you won't know if you don't go win it done. My test come back distrustful and I worried for nothing. It's be over 15 yrs ago and I have never have another negative pap. But it's best to be concerned than to consent to it go and it be something deeply important and need medical intervention. Good luck to you. I'm sure all will be okay for you.
Benign cellular change are the primary reason for "abnormal" pap smears. Your doctor prudently told you not to worry. It is extremely adjectives. The fact that he requested a followup colposcopy to me indicates that he/she is anyone very thorough surrounded by your care. The procedure in general takes no longer than going on for 15 minutes and can give you much greater peace of mind knowing it too be OK. The examining doctor can see cells are a 15 to 40 times magnification for much greater exactitude of identification. Good luck. Just follow up as your doc have suggesteed. It may be nothing, but it may be something. Better to be undisruptive than sorry.

We get twelve-monthly Pap exams for this reason. If it is something, it can normally be caught in an impulsive enough stage to treat it.
cellular change may mean that you enjoy HPV, a very adjectives STD . depending on the type of changes and amount your doctor may own to do a biopsy and then I don`t know a removal.
