26 and never be to the gyno
Answers: I never been to one either.
I be freaked out before my first trip. It's REALLY not bad. I would merely suggest that you have a doctor you trust and that will help you be aware of more comfortable. My doctor told me every little detail about what was going to start and why and what I would feel. She let me look at the tools she uses so I would know what be going into my body. There's no pain involved, but I would never describe it as pleasant. It's just an atypical sensation. You'll be fine! I was 21 when I first went, I be scared at first- but it was no big promise. The whole thing lone lasted for maybe 5 minutes at the most. You'll be fine hun, simply get it over with..
Going for your annual exam at the gynecologist is hugely important. They check for things such ovarian and cervical cancer, as well as other infections or diseases, so it's extremely influential if you want to catch these things early or you enjoy a family history.
I prefer a female doctor. I individually cannot imagine going to a man, lol. Do some research before you select a doctor, and when you arrive for your appointment don't be afraid to voice your fears. I be a nervous wreck my first time, but they will talk you through everything and put you at effortlessness. You probably don't want to hear this, but in order for the doctor to do the pap smear and pelvic exam...you enjoy to put your feet in the stirrups. I really don't see any other passageway that could be done.
You'll be fine, it's really not bad. My best advice: relax, relax, relax. The more anxious and stiff you are, the more it will hurt. Just remember to breath. It will be ok. :) Good luck.
