A Pap smear is a test done to check for cervical cancer and abnormality. You can google it and get explicit details on how it is done. It does not hurt, and everyone woman should own one annually. Well, every dr is different in how they do things and how peaceable they are. i would ask family and friends for a referral to someone you know is going to lug time with you and be soft. they usually talk to you first, enter the speculum, afterwards they use a small scraper (it sounds horrible i know but its not) and a brush to collect cells from your cervix and vagina. end, they use 2 fingers in the vagina and fell your ovaries to receive sure they feel middle-of-the-road. try to relax your muscles because the more you tense up, the more self-conscious it will be and the longer it will take them to do the exam.
I enjoy had two smear test and never had any fingers inserted into me. And hold never heard of this. U couldn't possibly be aware of the ovaries like this anyway! A smear try-out is to examine the cervix an cells. In the U.K u are invited for a smear try-out when u reach 25 and every three years after this unless near are concerns or problems. I find smear tests unpleasent but not uncomfortable. They are very snatched and save thousands of lives every year. If u dont fancy ur doc doin it drop within at ur local family planning clinic.
