What is consomme?

i have a recipe near that in it, and i dont know what it is, or where on earth to buy it. can you help me and my sister?

Answers:    Your local grocery store should hold it. Beef consomme is kinda like beef broth. You can substitute broth for consomme. Look surrounded by the soup aisle for beef consomme.

Concentrated stock is basically the solid in a more solid form. Again, contained by the soup aisle, you should be able to find a jar of beef, chicken, fish, ham, or vegetable stock. It may not specifically state on the jar "concentrated", but if it is contained by a paste form a bit than liquid, you know that it is concentrated.
It's a clear soap near concentrated stock Your question is surrounded by the wrong category.
Consommé is clear strong stock that has be clarified either using egg whites that are subsequently skimmed off the surface (if made at home), or a terribly fine mesh strainer (if made industrially). consomme is not "concentrated fat"- real consomme have almost no fat within it since all the heavy has be skimmed off.
You can substitute can stock ,which is very glib to find in any grocery store, but the results won't look as correct.
Or, if you have some extra time, you can cause it yourself- I've used this recipe before, and it be very effortless. You can find a ton of recipes online.
