How long does it help yourself to for a birth control pill to digest?

I have not be feeling in good health today, nauceous, dizzy, upset stomach. I took my pill at 10am. I drank some alka-seltzer to help settle my stomach very soon at 5pm and it made me instantly throw up. Is 7 hours long enough for a pill to digest?

Answers:    3 hours, it usually say inside the pack that if you throw up or have diareeah inside 3 hours of taking it, then it wont work, and you should any take another one, or you should use precautions for the subsequent 7 days while continuing to take live pills.
Absolutely. The pill went through your system within about an hour- newly like anything that you digest.
Just brand sure you drink a good amount of fluid so there's something else surrounded by there next to it, just to be positive it wasn't sitting contained by your stomach. But I'm sure after 7 hours you're fine ;) Yes, 7 hours is plenty, but if you keep getting sick or are have diarrhea you may need a backup method.
