every girl is different. and i think that your body lately isnt used to these changes but. just buy some bigger pad. or use tampons just because your mom's term is light and short, doesn't imply your's will be.
it's normal to be chunky. some women just own heavy period. wait and see if it will remove the colour up over time. if it doesn't lighten up over the subsequent few years, talk to your mom again in the region of birth control. i actually have to go on birth control long earlier i ever had sex because my extent lasted on average for 2 weeks and be heavy indigestible heavy through most of it. but every women's body is different, so skulk and see if your body changes.

Nothing at adjectives...it is very run of the mill i know my sister's was similar to that. It will become "normal" later on as you verbs to get your time of year! <3 All girls are different. My first period come with REALLY doomed to failure cramps. It stunk and I was solely 12. :(

I recommend you still recounting your doctor. You could have fibroids. Which cause heavy bleeding.
