I just want to know how long it take for a contraceptive pill to kick contained by and work. I have a prescription but havent use one contained by 3 years ,so now im gonna start again and i want to spawn sure it works before i own sex without protection.

Answers:    I've other been told it take the first months cycle to work. Once you start then hold a period and start month two is when it will be significant!

7 consecutive days, but there are directions within every pack of birth control that explains, in detail, when you are protected and when you arent so check that out. I other use condoms during the first month just to be extra sheltered. when I started the pill ten years ago they told me it took a whole month in the past it was significant. I would keep using condoms near it just to be nontoxic! that way you avoid STD's and UTI's too
