Why do Doctors skulk sooo long to confer answers to check results, when the being is terrified for thier life span!!?
Answers: My mother had emphysema, so any caring of lung infection was a potential demise sentence. She was waiting for results of a sputum example, and like you, I have phoned several times, only to be told by a secretary or nurse, that I could one and only get results from her doctor who other seemed to be out or busy. On the third time I called, and spoke to duplicate woman as the day earlier. I said "Hi, Nancy, this is Dawna, Diane's daughter. I know the doctor is probably not available. I was only just wondering if you could give me handset or Internet information on who I should contact for mistreatment or malpractice, whichever this will come down to. Should my mother die, I want to know exactly how to sue Dr.(insert Dr's name)" You bet your butt he was on the phone REAL briskly. Not so busy when their livelihood is threatened are they??
Most doctors I know will not give out examination results on the phone. You have to get a personal appointment to see them and get your results. I've other heard no report is good word. Good luck.
The Doctors are now exceedingly professional and keeping the suspense to make more money from patients. They are not thinking the patients they are treating as customer for their business. You own the right (by law) to go to the place you have the test done and ask for a copy of your documents. You might want to exercise this right. Or simply ask if indeed the US has be read yet and/or sent to your MD. Or you might want to walk into your MD's office instinctively and just agree to them know (report in hand) that you enjoy the results and have some serious question. It's an added plus if there's people within the waiting room because 9 1/2 times they have be treated the same course and will be not only importantly interested in what the receptionist does for you as very well as be on your side. In no way be aggressive or stingy, or anything like that. but do look and nouns veeeeeeery concerned, like almost panic and on the verge of tears. Just some accepted wisdom. I feel for you! dangle in in attendance! But, most of all consider positively, negativity is the worse thing a cancer long-suffering can allow into their being! 8D
I don't mingy to defend anyone, because I don't know your doctor individually. However, giving such information on the phone is a big no no. Firstly you want to be sure to whom you are talking, and if here is some not so nice news it make more sense to say it frontage to face, individual able to buy and sell with any issues. Secondly the doctor might enjoy wanted to ask for a second assessment, because he might have feel that he wasn't 100% sure. Doctors are not gods and asking for a 2nd view in more fine than giving a wrong result. if they don't run the proper tests first to receive sure these doctors can be sued.
