Do you use a menstrual cup or reusable pad?
Answers: You are at FAR smaller number risk from infections when using re-usable options.
I use a Mooncup ( http://www.mooncup.co.uk ) and hold been for 5 years very soon - I have never have an infection, where as when I be using commercial tampons and pads I have constant bacterial infections and yeast infections, as well as mostly being totally uncomfortable. I also use re-usable pad from time to time, Lunapads ( http://www.lunapads.com ), which have also not cause any infections.
Commercial options hold all sorts of downsides when it comes to form, take commercial pad (Always, etc.) these are made from synthetic materials and plastics that stop air getting to your vulva/vagina resulting contained by a warm moist environment spotless for bacteria and yeast to thrive.
Commercial option like commercial pad are unnecessarily bleached and chemically treated, within the 1990's this saw the dioxin scandal when chlorine gas bleaching be used resulting in dioxin person present in tampons and pad, although this method is no longer used (at least surrounded by the UK as of Nov. 1997, not sure about the US) the methods that are still used are unnecessary and because of law protecting companies trade secrets we don't know what exactly chemicals they use in a minute, so there is still a authentic concern about what chemicals are present surrounded by commercial menstrual options. Whether we know the exact extent of the risks that come from business methods or not we do know for a fact that such products contain chemicals that are not intrinsically found within the vulva/vagina, as such these interrupt common vaginal pH which in turn throws bad normal level of bacterial and yeast that lead to infections.
As such re-usable pad are far healthier and safer than commercial pad because they are made from cloth that is not treated beside chemicals, this means that you are kept dryer and no chemicals are present to interfere next to your vaginal pH - more so if you go for plain white 100% natural cotton cloth pads, cogitate about it approaching your underwear; it is recommended you wear plain white cotton underwear rather than underwear made from synthetic materials to facilitate prevent yeast infections, the same progress for your pads wearing cotton pad rather than synthetics.
Menstrual cups are also far safer and well again than tampons or other commercial options because they are made from materials that do not provide bacteria a place to multiply, do not contain hurtful chemicals, and that allow normal vaginal cleaning.
People win a bit knee-jerk when it comes to re-usable options because within is still such a huge taboo about menstruation, menstrual product companies do a biddable job of playing on that making women touch that they have to use whiter-than-white disposable option in establish to be clean. See some of your answers from women who are imply they are not safe or unclean, obviously short actually knowing anything nearly the issues involved.
An increasing number of women are switching back to re-usable option because as well as better for the environment, and normally more convenient as well as cheaper than commercial option, re-usable options are far more hygienic and safer than commercial option.
Oh, and if you do get yeast infections it is also a benifit that cloth pad can be washed on a big heat (avoid biting detergents) with tea tree grease or tea tree oil can be put on the pad while you're wearing them to help treat any infection. Same go for menstrual cups, these are not only cleaner than other internal menstrual option but the only menstrual opportunity that can be steralized, you can also add tea tree grease to the cup to treat any infections internally. But trust me, you switch to re-usable options you will see you will enjoy far fewer infections compaired to commercial option.
If you are a pad user I do outstandingly recommend Lunapads because although a little more pricey than other brands or making your own pad they are very ably made - trust me, they are far more comfortable than commercial pads as no horrible sodden feeling or irritation from plastic edges, not to mention logically no irritation from chemicals or from yeast infections! :o)
Another idea for you would be to try natural pads, these are freshly the same as commercial pad and are also disposable however they don't have the synthetics or chemicals that could be cause your yeast infections, it also makes them far more environmentally friendly. Yes they are still disposable, however they are made from 100% natural cotton where as commercial pad are made normally from a 50:50 mix of rayon (made from wood, they lone use around 30% of the trees to make rayon) and cotton (which is not life, meaning chemicals are used within farming the cotton) and contain no chemicals (commercial pad use chemicals that end up polluting the environment, bleaching methods also use extra energy). There are plenty of life brands around and larger pharmacy stores will stock these right along side commercial options, such as Cottons, Natracare and Organic Essentials.

i would not risk getting an infection.
Feminine Hygiene is a must.
Its an acception to the "Going Green" belief.
Every woman needs verbs, safe protection.
so merely buy the disposable. But go to Costco or something and buy pad in HUGE bulk. That process they wont have ot produce more and more plastic, its all a short time ago in one.
I use o.b. tampons. There's little casing and no applicators to take up room contained by landfills.
Pads? You might try researching websites of your favorite feminine product makers. There may be adjectives information on those sites about environmentally friendly products.
Reusable products are great for so frequent things, but not so healthy for others. We enjoy to keep that within mind when "going green" these days.
If you suffer from frequent yeast infections and it's not a side effect of a medication you pinch, you should consider your diet. An unhealthy diet contributes to excessive yeast produced by the body.
I would not help yourself to the Chance to find out if those things can cause an infection or not. Honey you simply have one body and you should not purloin unnecessary risk with your vigour if you don't have to. I use tampax and I enjoy not had any infections. No you will not carry increased infections. The pads are wash in the washer basically like underwear. Give them a try I assume you will like them.
wow i neva know that!! I use a Diva Cup. I've used it for 4 cycles now and I don't ruminate there would be an increase within infections. It should be boiled before the first use and boiled at the back of every cycle. I also like to use tea tree grease because of its antiseptic properties.
