Small Tumor found on my pituitary gland..have need of counsel?
Answers: I think i enjoy the same piece i was diagnosed near a pituitary microadenoma about 6yrs ago they in fact found it by accident i be having an MRI because i be having impossible migraines that had nought to do with the tumor. i be told that it was nought to worry more or less unless i started having discharge out of my breasts, didnt catch my period and lost my side trance i havent had any problems and every year i enjoy a MRI donr just to kind sure it hasnt gotten any bigger. i totally understand how panicky you are i was fearful at first but mine hasnt grown an im sure you have nil to worry around. actually my doctor said that they are calmness common alot of ethnic group prob have them but dont know and they arent canerous. if you enjoy any questions you can email me.
the problem next to pituitary masses, no event how small, is that they often cloak hormones, especially prolactin. this can lead to breast discharge. i'm sure they'll check your blood level of prolactin, as well as other hormones, to see if any are elevated. if prolactin is elevated, they would plausible prescribe you bromocriptine, which reverses some of the effects of prolactin. you will also likely catch follow up mris to make sure the tumor is not enlarge, as large pituitary tumors can do effects related to their size, in extra to hormonal influences.
