I'm 13 and barred to wear tampons, what can I do?
Answers: Tampons may hurt your mom so she might not know that most women aren't bothered by tampons at adjectives.
Some people are afraid of TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) which used to appear a lot more when some women used super spongy tampons and got this body-wide bacterial infection. TSS is extremely exceptional these days because of training and more selection within tampon absorbency.
She may also think that tampons will pocket your virginity which isn't really true. Or that inserting a tampon is too sexual for someone your age (which it isn't).
Ask her why she won't let you try tampons (the cost can't be the judgment because that's just silly). Tell her how humiliated and embarrassed you are near pads and that you'd similar to to try the junior size tampons (Tampax brand). This size can't be found everywhere but I've seen them at Target.
If she won't gossip to you about the genuine reasons next save some of your allowance and buy them the subsequent time you're able to turn to the store without her (or next to her if she keeps relating you it's all in the region of the cost). Asking a friend for one is a good model too.
i think pad are way better conceivably you can borrow some from friends? idk.. i just immediately started wanting to wear tampons now and im 14. lol.. and i resembling them.. but i never was irritated near pads.. but every one at academy made fun of me( well my friends) because i still wore pad.
ya my mom never had a problem beside me using tampons. but some moms do and waht their daughters to wait tuntil their elder. i started using tampons like right when i turned 13. and their close to a gift from glory. pads suck. Some parents believe that a girl should not wear tampons because they regard there is some "sexual" item behind it. Like the myth that if you're a virgin, you cannot wear a tampon. All bunk. Your mother most credible does not like using them, so think you wouldn't. She really needs to be more moderate about it.
Give your mom time to get hold of used to the idea. I used pad until I was 15. You could look up some of the highest tampons online and see if they have sample and send away for them. Or write to the companies and ask them for a taster because of what you told us. Then you have a taster you can try and 'prove' to your mom that you survived using tampons. i would honestly go buy them yourself( your mom doesn tknow how you might consistency with them)
im 15 and i started using them my finishing period and they are so much betteR
it feel kinda weird for the first bit but it get so much more comfortable
but make sure if you do try to use them
hold ones for when your flow is heavy, and ones for when your flow is table lamp
because if its light an dyou use a lofty absorbency, you might feel some discomfort
i would recommend trying the "ob" tampons since you can insert them yourself short those goddamn annoying applicators

just consult to her more about it. making this conclusion is all yours, but she can help out you out. does she use tampons? you could ask her if you could try with one of hers. or you could buy your own box.
polite luck Tampons usually are not very comfortable for younger women who are not sexually busy. Try Thin Maxi pads. The shrill maxis are more comfortable especially if they say beside dry top layer to maintain you drier. I like the StayFree ones.
That's silly. Well since pad are bothering you, Have you tried different brands? styles? Wings, no wings? It is horrible to spend so much money on these things and not delight in them. I know it might seem embarressing but you can step to almost any public restroom and get tampons for around 50-75 cents. You could do that, and try a tampon without your mother ever knowing. and later you can have a communicate with her if you do wallow in them and tell her it's what you want to do. I know its not pleasent to wear pad..But i'm not a fan of tampons myself. There's a highrisk of TSS, Toxic Shock Syndrom which is fatal. Your mother might be afraid of that. Well good luck. I tried tampons a year after I get my period and hold never gone back. There are no pad in my house. They suck. I deliberate you should search online for a free taster of tampons. Pretend when it comes in the e-mail that you didn't order it, it merely was sent by the company (my mom played this trick on me). I judge you Mom feels similar to if you can put a tampon in you vagina it make you less innocent. Maybe, but it's so much more comfortable, verbs, less odor, flushable, and you really can't grain them.
Here's something I think wasn't mentioned nonetheless. Lets say you achieve your period unforeseen one day, but you begin to have a wipe on you. You can have that same wad on for a couple of hours, even though it will be uncomfortable. With a tampon, your pretty screwed. You hold to change them everytime you get going to bleed and if your heavy, you own to have a pantyliner. I judge they are so stressing. I carry three pad that keep me through the morning. My period isn't that big so it's ok. But maybe your mom doesn't come up with you are responsible enough to wear them. Maybe shes thinking that you might bring that disease toxic something or other from them. IDK girl. Talk to her. TAMPONS ARE BETTER.

I lost my mom 4 years ago and that same year I started my period after she passed. I have no idea what to do, so I go an tried tampons and pads. Sadly, my flow be so long and tiring that I use both. What I would do, is just ask what is her reasoning bar they are uncomfortable and doesn't want to spend money on something she think that you will dislike. I would just explain that, mom I be aware of really ready and I would similar to to have a hit and miss on trying tampons. Explain that even though you say they may be mortified and expensive, you think it would be the best. Maybe if you can, voice that you will help by paying partly of it or just payment you back really soon. Or if you hold a friend that you really trust, maybe ask her, can I try one of your tampons and see if I resembling them to influence my mom to buy them. hmmm...i've other used them but i'm 13 too. some ppl think it will break your hymen...thats why my 15 yr. hoary cousins don't use them. i have no model what a hymen is so go ask ur mom in the region of that.
